Energy Code Compliance

As of 2018 Pennsylvania began enforcing a new set of uniform construction codes that fall under ICC (International Energy Conservation) These codes have significant impact on home builders throughout the state. The code states that single family dwellings must adhere to the 2015 IECC codes while multi family dwellings must adhere to the 2018 set of codes.

The states of Pennsylvania and New Jersey have now adopted the 2015 International Energy Conservation Code which requires all newly constructed homes to have a blower door test . A duct leakage test  is also a requirement if any part of the system sits outside of the building thermal envelope. We conduct these tests and provide builders with the necessary paperwork to submit to the inspectors.
